Fireworks on Guy Fawkes?

Should New Zealanders celebrate a guy called Guy Fawkes who had something to do with blowing up the English Parliament? I think New Year should be celebrated with fire works as I know it is in the Philippines. Fireworks can symbolize New Year like a new beginning as a firework explodes. I absolutely think that Guy Fawkes should be celebrated without fireworks, and New Year with fireworks.

My Future Job Choices

I have four job choices that I could pick from in university. My first choice would be I.T. (Information Technology) because my dad has that job. There are ranks in I.T. there is a Tester, Programmer and Architects. If I was to choose this job I should take Maths, Algebra and if available a computer subject. Being a writer has the least chance of coming true because your fame all depends on what type stories are. For example Crime, Suspense, Adventure and more. Being a Doctor is one of my back up plans for a job. But the problem is that the courses could take years to finish. The only reason I could be a Doctor is because once again my mum is a nurse. My last career is being an Architect. I enjoy drawing bird eye views of house plans. Lucky for me I'm moderately good at drawing. I am pretty confident in what I'll choose, but my parents will probably choose for me.

Holiday Fun!

In the holidays I got a brand new electric guitar! I already had an acoustic but the electric guitar can make different tones. For example Rock, Metal, Reggae and others. My electric guitar is black and white, and the neck up is wood. The electric guitar is quite heavy to an acoustic. The amplifier isn't that big, but it is recommended for a beginner. I have played it quite alot now.

As a reward for my school work and sports I got an Ipad mini. It sounds a bit much as a gift though. I don't use it much often.

We also went to the Porirua pool. It wasn't that cold now since it almost Summer. I mostly had to do laps but after a while I could go on the hydroslide.

I played basketball at home trying to improve on shooting. But it's hard doing it on a hoop thats smaller than the miniball hoop.

I did alot in the holidays and I thought it was great fun.

Frida Kahlo Art Week!

During Art Week we were given an artist. And our class got Frida Kahlo. We painted in her famous styles of art, we did portraits of ouselves with monobrows. But the other art she did was fruits. Instead of painting we used oil pastels. Most of her fruit paintings had a melon, "Viva La Vida" and a Mexican flag. Originally I was going to do two mangos, but my teacher said that I had to at least do three fruit. My third fruit was the coconut that is behind the mangos. When I finished doing that, I thought that I should do a tropical theme. So I ended up doing seven fruit ( There are three bananas). Frida Kahlo usually had her name on the bottom right. I was quite proud that I finished this art.

My Hobbies

My latest hobby is writing fictional stories. Usually my stories include magic, like people with hidden abilities. I like writing because I can put down my imagination into words. I did not know that I would like writing. When I was in year 4-6 (grade 2-4) I didn't really like writing. But when my teacher in year 6 (grade 4) told me I was quite good in writing I started to put most of my time into trying to write short stories at home. Reading is the most helpful thing I did because I gained lots of vocabulary from it and how authors write complex sentences.

Now as part of this task I need to ask you a question.
